Mr P.I.G

Another quick sketch on Autodesk SBMX. Took around 30 minutes or so? Was blindly sketching the head and found out it has some resemblance to the frontman of a certain band. So to those who can somehow guess who this is, good for you. To those who couldn't, well, say hello to Mr. P.I.G.

Tired

Quick doodle on Autodesk Sketchbook Mobile Express (SBMX).

I was messing around with my phone (finally installed Android OS on it) and I downloaded the free version of Autodesk SBMX. It's nothing ground breaking or anything but it's an awesome app to mess around with. A great time waster (when you're bored) but it's definitely great to sketch on the go!

I'm still fumblin' around with it cause I'm not used to slide my fingers around and sketch something out (still used to holding pens and stylus).

Your worst comment is highly appreciated.

Not quite there...

This was meant to be a "further-developed" design of the character intended for the Snaptoons submission. This is Eugene Raster and I don't quite remember his back story (heh). It ended up being a sketchy finish and I'm never happy with the final output. I am, however, content with the pose even though the hands could've been better. This is a two-hour doodle with Sai and it was colored on one layer.

"Do you know what Nemesis means?"

First post of Twenty Eleven (Happy New Year!). And my first post since... *counts*... August (!). *sigh*...

This is Nigel the Slug. An English mafia/gangster me and Idris sorta came up with when we were brainstorming for......... I don't quite remember what. That was waaaaaay back in November (methinks).

At this moment, I was supposed to be sketching/coloring/doodling for something else entirely different. But my current backpain/low motivation pulled me back (a bit).

Back to Nigel, it was a quick doodle with Sai. I'm not too happy with the face (lack character) and the length of the leg (too anime). The overall pose could've been better. But it's a great start with this bloke because I think this can go somewhere. Will definitely revisit the design in the near future.

Snail Boy Formerly Known as Four Legs

So Mr Four Legs evolved to Snail Boy here which I gave to my students to play around with for their texturing assignment. Decided not to detail the hell out of it as it'll defeat the whole purpose of learning good texturing for them. Although, I am entertaining the idea of fleshing out more of his details for my own personal fun. Anyways, in my own little head, Snail Boy here is supposedly the missile man (he uses a slignshot) for the Seelie Court's army. Initially he was meant to be the mean, ridiculously mobile infantry of the Unseelie Court but somehow he ended up looking more gentler and softer than I planned. Heh.

*To the clueless, The Seelie and The Unseelie are basically Scottish classification of fairies :P

WIP- Four Legs (roughly 30 mins)

I've been a very naughty girl. Instead of doing my research I did a Zbrush quickie instead. Started out with some lizard-y looking dude but felt it was kinda meh. So I scrapped the entire thing off and ended up with Four Legs here. I'm not too hot on the hind legs (come to think of it the feet as well) but I'll work on Four Legs summore later this week. For now.. I've got to hit the books. Fun. :P

Native American Cloth

Woo. 2 posts in day.

Because Azman keeps bugging me to post more regularly, I'm posting up an old piece I did way back when I was a slave for the corporate entity (2 years ago).  There was a reference for this lying somewhere in my hard drive and floating around somewhere in the WWW, can't find it now, though. I'll post it up if I ever come across it again. Secretly done in my cubicle with Corel Painter.

Priestess of Perthro

Was trying out Alchemy, a freeware that helps you generate random shapes and stuff. Try it out it's fun to see what you can get. So anyways, started off with this doodle with the Alchemy:

Yeah, it's just a bunch of blots and squares. Painted over it in Photoshop, though, and ended up with this:
Finished. For now, at least. Might go back and re-do the head dress.

Sculptris Part II

Continued where I stopped a cuppla days ago. Spent an hour or two with the face details, did a bit of the upper torso and decided to stop there. Painted this in the wee hours of Friday. Didn't really spend a lot of time on it so I never really get to fully work around with Sculptris' paint tool. Applied Normal material to it and I thought the skin colour and feel kinda stand out. I prefer the unpainted version somehow. But a bit of a critique would be nice. Cheers.
