BARF! BARF!! BARF!!!

Did this through the wee hours of Saturday. Haven't modelled with a purpose for quite a while now and I'm quite surprised that I'm not at all rusty (yet). Been wanting to get this done weeks ago for the new semester (which has already started... procrastination... sigh).

This model was done for students to use for their animation assignment. Total polycount was around 2800++. Wasn't really targeting for any certain number but had to make sure it's friendly for all PCs.

I just knew I wanted to model a guy with huge arms and small legs. This was done with no design reference, which might have caused the struggle for me to finish this and ultimately contributed to the naming of this dude: BARF!!! Textures? We'll see.

PSP Go! has finally arrived.

PSP Go!! Here we go!! I was walking in a mall somewhere in KL yesterday. Then I saw PSP Go (both in black & white version) on a display of a computer/game store.

So I just wanna share a bit of info about the new PSP Go with you guys (Credits to Wikipedia!!)

The PSP Go (styled PSPgo or PSP go, model PSP-N1000 is a version of the PlayStation Portable handheld video game console manufactured by Sony(well, you guys might have known all bout it).It was actually released on October 1st 2009 in American and a few part of Europe and is scheduled for release November 1st in Japan ( I wonder why?).
It is more elegant (well the target audience is teen...not just kids...well duh), 43% smaller than the previous version, slide screen design easily fits into your pocket & Memory Stick Micro, 16 GB of Flash Memory.

The PSP Go finally have a Bluetooth connectivity, enabling the use of compatible Bluetooth headsets and also with Bluetooth-enabled mobile phones. This will also enable users to possibly connect and play games using a Sixaxis or DualShock 3 PlayStation 3 controller(imagine playing with those controller on to the PSP Go...hahaha) or Bluetooth headset.
The @#$%^& bout PSP Go is just, it doesn't support UMD card...fully downloaded games.

The Price... it's around RM950.. reasonable? You decide..

Noir...

A quickie just to make myself occupied. This is just one of the four characters me and Nadia been workin on for an exhibition at our faculty. But the thing is, I can't stop working on this guy. I should be moving on the other three characters. And this is not even the main character. Sigh... More on this to come.

Why Do You Wanna Kill Me?

Don't mind the cape and the body proportion. I like it that way :P Spent a cuppla hours on this on a Sunday and ended up with this. Received mixed reactions for the ears but hey, why not. Revisiting seems likely.

Black Eyed Coffee...

This was done in a rush but I guess I'm okay with it. It's worth a revisit. A ridiculous 3++ hours worth of painting in SAI with caffeine-intoxicated body, soul and mind.

The nose is a little wonky, I know, but I was just lazy to fix it. The red (or I think it's red) didn't turn out the way I wanted. Just realized what the silhouette is creating: a guy with huge ears. Oh well. The armor thing? Hmmm....  I don't know, it was spontaneous; and also because I can't make out how it actually looks like in the sketch. Just expect another version of this. A decaf version perhaps. Heh...

Credits to Nadia for the initial sketch (which looks way better).

Heh...

Quickie color test. Results? Crap.

Cowabunga?...

Get it? Please tell me you get it.
Quick ink on paper, colored and messed up with SAI. Took me what? 20, 25 minutes? Then realized it looked so bad that I had to cover the whole goddamn thing with black outline.

P/S: Don't get me wrong... I like Raphael :P

Live Long and Prosper

Coffee high equals ultimate lameness and horrid composition...
Spock before his glory days. Quick ink on paper, colored in SAI.

Budak Neraka

At this point, I dunno what I'm doing. Sucky facial expression. Got the arms all wrong. Weird cloth definition. Something's not right with the pose.

.....

I'm happy with the legs though.

Bonjour...

Quickie. Straight off sketchbook. I think he looks like how he's supposed to look like. I'm not too sure about the pose though. It just came out like that.

Butter(s)

After some unnecessary evening napping session and three cups/cans of coffee, it's no surprise this came out at 3am++ in the morning.

Been listening to a lot of Butterfingers lately and just felt like squiggling something of them. I think Loque has interesting facial features that I'm comfortable to mess around with. Quick ink/marker on paper, scanned and magicalized (?) with Photoshop. No intention of following proper human face/body proportion.

Draw what you see... Feel what you are drawing

During my study, one of my lecturers used to say, "draw what you see, not see what you draw..."
Well, that was the basic principal of (contour) drawing...

See, all of us can draw... there are no good or bad drawing...
It's just people's perspective on your artwork... and the purpose of it... a hobby... your job... way of expressing yourself... or assignment...? Whatever the reason is... believe in it..

I just wanna add a lil' bit on my lecturer's saying... "Just draw what you see, feel what you are drawing... and you can never go wrong... but if you're unable to feel it... well... keep on tryin'..."

We Have to Do Something!!!

"space" by missstrublingstorm

We; are the people who have long to express our ideas and thoughts in Malaysia's creative industry.

But what has confine us in such a manner that all thoughts has become congested and opinions censored.

Scattered; like pieces of puzzle we continued to fight as such that one day we can be taken in as a bigger picture.
